Removing the option to purchase and/or use single-use plastics is the easiest way to avoid them. Promoting refill and reuse options to customers will help bring about a change in behaviour and reduce waste in our society

• At least three single-use plastic items removed from local businesses and retailers or replaced with sustainable alternatives

This objective is dependent on the population size that the campaign is working with. The target for Highcliffe is to have 6 businesses achieving Plastic Free Champion status.

We are a third of the way there, with two businesses already having achieved their award:

• Cliffhanger Restaurant
• Napoleons Bar

We have had enquiries from other businesses so we hope to have more people on board soon.
